JEKYLL ISLAND - ONE

Hey Ya'll! I know it's been awhile since I've posted, and I'm so sorry for that!!! My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Jekyll Island for my 25th Birthday! We've been doing the whole long distance thing since January, and I can honestly say that I'm not a fan! We go about 6-7 weeks without seeing each other! The surprise trip was from Thursday to Monday and we stayed in the cutest little cottage (Cherokee Cottage) at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel! I have pictures below of the cottage! Seriously, the cutest place ever!!! He honestly way out did himself! We tried to have a weekend "phone free", so I'm sorry about the few insta posts and blog posts! You can't get quality time back though, so I'm pleased with our decision on going cell-phone free for a few hours of the day!

What better way to travel than travel in Lilly Pulitzer?!!! This Lilly dress is so bright and fun, and screams "vacation I'm coming for you"! I paired it with my fave adidas sneaks! Gotta have comfort on your feet when walking through the airport right?! & these sneakers are super comfortable!!!! Ps. this luggage is AMAZING! I'm going to be saving up for the larger size because of how obsessed I am with it! Plus, the appearance of this luggage is so chic! I even heard a few comments in the airport about people loving my carry-on. That will sure brighten ones day!!!

Date Night
I wore this maxi on our first date night there!!! We went to the cutest little seafood joint on the water - Latitude 31. We listened to live music, ate delicious food and drank some tasty cocktails (well Taylor drank beer) haha! The sunset was out of this world gorgeous!!! Today I am headed back to Raleigh because Nursing school starts back this Wednesday!!! Ahhh, pray for me! I graduate this December, and I'm currently freaking out! Ya'll will have to bare with me while I try to juggle nursing school, precepting, blogging, long-distance relationship, family, etc. This semester is definitely going to be a hard one, but with the Lord, my family, Taylor, and friends by my side I know I can get through anything that's ahead!!! Advise is always welcome!!!

WINTER WHITE

My "winter white" post is way overdue!!! So sorry about the delay, I've been hitting a few speed bumps trying to switch my blog to a new site!!! Don't worry, I didn't get rid of my domain name, just waiting for it to unlock so I can transfer over... then things will be back to normal!!! (hopefully, fingers crossed) I'm definitely not the best with technology so please bare with my while I try to work out all the kinks!!! If you have any stories about struggling with the same thing... I'd love to hear them! A girl can use all the hlep she can get! Until then, I hope you enjoy my white on white look that's perfect for fall and winter!!! 

I'm a huge fan of Free People sweaters!!! Every year that is one thing that I splurge on... a new Free People sweater! :) It's definitely worth the splurge though, because I literally will wear it once a week. Free People sweaters are extremely comfortable and soft! I can't get enough of them!!! Not to mention, they are super stylish as well! I found my one for this fall and winter and it's safe to say I'm already obsessed!!! It's waffle-knit design is one of my favorite parts!!! Also, I'm obsessed with the wide band that trims the boat neckline! Best part is that it comes in 3 colors: Ivory, Green, and Black... you can't go wrong picking any of them! Black would be perfect for football games, when it's cooler outside and I'm a huge fan of the Green as well because it would look amazing paired with denim and riding boots!!! Talking about boots... These boots are my all time fave! I was very iffy on purchasing boots that have a knee-high cut because I have extremely short legs, but I ended up loving them... and I'm so pleased with my purchase! I'm almost 5'6 and my torso takes up most of my body (haha) for reference! These boots are water resistant, which is such a BONUS! Guess what else is fabulous about these boots?!!! They are lined with a foam cushioned footbed to ensure comfort every step of the way!!! I'm huge on comfort, so that was an automatic WIN for me! I'm a huge fan of grey, and I think grey goes with absolutely everything in the fall and winter.. so that's why I chose the color that I did! I especially love grey with all white on white!!! Adds a finishing touch, don't yah think?!!! But you can't go wrong getting any of the colors because the boot is just so fabulous!

Happy Hump Day my friends!!! :) I still can't get over how much fun I had the other day at Catalog Connection! So thankful to the manager who let me come do a photo shoot there for the day! This waffle tee is my absolute fave! It is so incredibly comfy and makes for the perfect casual top! Top is $30.95 and worth every penny!!! Perfect for hot summer days when paired with denim shorts, or perfect for fall days paired with skinnies and booties!!! These denim shorts are my go to! I wear them all the time... probably too much! But hey, they are cute and comfy so why not?! By the way, they are on sale for $24.50! Such a great item to add to your wardrobe!!! Another great item to add to your wardrobe are the gladiator sandals. These gladiator sandals are so amazing!!! I wear them so much, and love how comfy they are. Before I ordered them, I was worried they would feel tight on my feet and not feel comfy, but boy was I wrong! So glad I went with my gut, and ordered these beauties because not only have they been perfect this summer, they are going to be perfect for fall! Did ya'll see the necklace?!! The necklace is one of my favorite parts about this outfit!!! I love anything by Betsy Pittard Designs! If I could buy it all, I would!!! The necklaces are such great quality and so beautiful in person!!! I am obsessed with my new purchase, and plan on wearing this necklace on repeat!!! This fabulous floral set is less than $50 and is so much fun! I have had an obsession with sets this summer, and I'm looking forward to carrying sets into the fall! I paired this set with booties to show how it could be worn in the fall! The Sheila Fajl cuffs are just so beautiful in their simplicity!!! With a busy floral set like this, the simplicity of those bangles pair perfectly with it! So sorry that you've seen my booties on mad repeat lately, but I'm so obsessed with them! They are under $100 and go with absolutely everything, and I mean everything! I will also admit they are the only booties I brought home with me for the summer... but thats because they are my FAVE!!!

GO PIRATES!!! I couldn't come to Greenville and not purchase purple and gold attire! I instantly fell in love with this yellow OTS top!!! It is so lightweight and will be perfect for those early football games, when it's still blazing hot! I paired it with my fave denim shorts I mentioned above to give this outfit a relaxed, casual look! I don't know about you, but I want to be comfy when I'm watching some football!!! The purple Chesterton Jewelry necklace is to die for!!! (I purchased this one) :) Guilty!!! I thought it gave the finishing touches to my game day apparel! I can't wait to wear it to the ECU vs. NC State game and watch the Pirates WIN!!!! Last but not least, the purple shades!!! Aren't they so fantastic! Guess what?! They are less than $10! GLORY DAYS

I had the best time the other day visiting one of my favorite boutiques from college! If you haven't gotten the chance to read my bio, I'll give you just a little background!!! I attended East Carolina University, and I got my degree in fashion merchandising! I loved every minute of college, and definitely miss those days. Downtown Greenville was always a spot I loved to be!!! My bestie and I would eat Sup Dogs every day (well almost every day) and then normally walk across the street to Catalog Connection! I have an obsession with rompers! They are just so easy to throw on and walk out the door. Weekend Recap: Hate that the weekend is already over!!! I had the most relaxing weekend with one of my sorority sisters! We went to the beach house and just floated around in the sound!!! After laying out all day long, we decided to just put on pj's and watch Netflix! Definitely needed a weekend like that!!! It was the perfect weekend before a week I'm not looking forward too! I'm dedicating every day to studying for the NCLEX this week. I've been studying off and on this whole summer but haven't dedicated a whole week to it yet. It's just so hard to get back into the swing of things when it comes to studying! SO many more things I'd rather be doing. If anyone has taken the NCLEX and has any tips, I'd love to hear! I will be taking it in Dec. or Jan. and I'm kind of panicking!!! Now it's time to down 3 glasses of coffee and workout before I hit the books!!!
